Hillary Clinton endorser, former Sen. Bob Kerrey, slams Edwards with words right out of Karl Rove's mouth.
Former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey was candid about his endorsement of Hillary Clinton, despite what he admitted was an affinity for Barack Obama's less doctrinaire politics. This was at a breakfast with some fellow-transplanted Cornhuskers (two of us, to be precise)."Even before John Edwards was chasing ambulances in North Carolina and Barack was voting `present' in the Illinois state senate," Senator Clinton was involved in major policy initiatives, he said.
Why oh why are Hillary Clinton's backers so arrogant and condescending? It's gotten to a point where you just can't turn a blind eye to their disparaging remarks about other candidates. To me, it looks like they could care less if Hillary wins the nomination and ends up tearing the Democratic Party apart.
Sen. Obama seems to be picking up full steam with a string of very nice endorsements. McCaskill is a wonderful get for the Obama team and will definitely be a huge plus for the Feb 5 primary in Missouri.
Sen. Claire McCaskill will endorse Barack Obama's presidential bid Sunday, a boost that comes as the Democratic presidential showdown intensifies in Missouri and the raft of other states set to vote on Feb. 5th. She will officially endorse the Illinois senator on Sunday in a conference call, according to a McCaskill aide.
Its' really close in the Granite State.
New poll out today-- It's a statistical tie with Obama at 32 percent, Clinton at 30 percent and John Edwards at 14 percent according to a Boston Globe poll released this morning.

Another poll shows Barack doing really well in New Hampshire. The fight for New Hampshire is getting very interesting.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone poll in the state finds Barack Obama with support from 31% of Likely Primary Voters while Hillary Clinton has earned the vote from 28%. Two weeks ago, Clinton had a seven-point lead in New Hampshire. A month ago, she was up by ten percentage points. The latest poll found little change in support for other candidates--John Edwards now attracts 17% support, Bill Richardson 8%, Joe Biden 4% and Dennis Kucinich 3%. Mike Gravel and Chris Dodd split a point between them and 7% are undecided.

Now we are seeing where Kindergarten level attacks come from. I tell you, the Clinton campaign attacks go on a personal level.
I don't understand why they fear so much debating the issues, and the various candidate's records - this is where acceptable disagreements are fine as far as political discourse goes.
But digging through candidate's personal lives for oppo??? That's plain unacceptable and a huge black eye for Hillary and her campaign.
Fresh, fresh poll folks! It's getting hot in the early states. Real close race.

Brown And Black Presidential Forum:
Wow, Hillary just came out against retroactivity for crack and powder cocaine sentences. Given how many young men and women languish in the New York prison system due to these harsh sentences, Hillary's position is really astonishing.
The Sentencing Project has long been pushing for reforms in our justice system.
Why we need to reform the system?
The average sentence for a crack cocaine offense in 2003 was more than 10 years; three and a half years longer than the average penalty involving powder cocaine. · 80.8% of people serving time for crack cocaine offenses are African American, despite the fact that more than two-thirds of crack cocaine users in the U.S. are white or Hispanic. · African Americans serve virtually as much time in prison for a drug offense (58.7 months) as whites do for a violent offense (61.7 months). · In 2000, 72% of crack cocaine defendants prosecuted in the federal system were low-level drug offenders who operated as street-level dealers, couriers or lookouts. http://sentencingproject.org/AdvocacyMaterialDetails.aspx?AdvocacyMaterialID=64Kudos to Obama and Edwards for taking the humane and progressive approach.
Good news. Barack gets the support of the Kansas and Missouri SEIUs. Very nice.
Per First Read:
The Missouri-Kansas SEIU state council decided this morning to endorse Obama, per the group's president Lenny Jones.
